Whats better scleral buckle or gas bubble for an retinal detachment?

I am curious, because I had the buckle installed; but I feel the gas bubble would have been a better route to have my eye recover with better vision result.

Whats better scleral buckle or gas bubble for an retinal detachment?
the scleral buckling is to support the retina.,,its not called bubble gas buckle ,its called gas bubble injection within the vitreal cavity after vitrectomy, some inject normal saline, silicone oil ,air ,gas,,the outcome doesnt differ much in which they replace the vitreous as long the scleral buckle reattaches the retina
