I have a second interview at the buckle, my hair is in a wreck?

Im a guy first of all and I have my second interview at the buckle today. I usually wear braides but I was scheduled for this hair consultation yesterday for an upcoming hair show and they asked me to wear it natural. So I did just that. Well after failed attempts to get my hair braided this morning I am left with an afro (which I hate wearing). I am very conscious of my appearance, especially when going to an interview.

Any help or suggestions out there?

My hair isnt incredibly long, but its long enough to get braided.

Should I wear a hat that goes along with my outfit or should I just try to make the afro look as neat as possible?

(by the way, my hair was neatly braided for my initial interview)

Wearing a hat inside can be rude.

If you can rock the afro, go with that or make an emergency appointment and get it braided again.

Good luck. Afros are hott, too! :)
Reply:I say wear a hat and explain to them why. As long as they have seen how good your hair usualy looks, and that you arent just lazy and didnt want to fix it I think they will be fine with it.

Altho there are plenty of people out there with nice looking afros, if that isnt the way your hair usualy is, I wouldnt go there without an explanation.

Good Luck!
Reply:I do love afros. I would not wear a hat. Wear your afro neat and explain to them you normally wear your hair braided and you were supposed to have it done this morning but something came up with the stylist. When I had a nose ring I would always explain on interviews that I could take it out if I were hired but I was unable to take it out before the interview because it had to be cut out (it was never true I just didn%26#039;t ever want to have to take it out). I never had any problems and got several jobs even with the nose ring. I think they will appreciate your honesty. It might end up being a plus that you didn%26#039;t get your hair braided.
Reply:Couple options:

1) You can try to find a salon near you right now, and explain to them what is going on. Going this early you can get it done pretty quickly.

2) You can choose to wear the hat however depending on the type of environment that might turn out being worse than just wearing the afro.

3) You can make the fro neat and tidy and if they ask, say %26quot;Oh you won%26#039;t believe this%26quot; and explain. Best of luck on the interview ;)
