My knee is buckling can someone help?

I twist/jerked my knee the wrong way at work, since then I have noticed that I can walk fine still, but when I jump (on a trampoline) or do a spin move (basketball), it feels like my right knee buckles. Anyone ever have this experience or knows what it is? Any intelligent response is appreciated.

My knee is buckling can someone help?
First, you should have your knee checked out by an orthopedic surgeon. As others have said you may have some ligament or mensical damage. You may require physical therapy or even surgery to get your knee back to normal.

If there is no gross injuries, you may have some muscle weakness. After an injury the muscles around the knee tend to atrophy. Then when you jump or pivot on the knee your muscles cannot properly compensate for the stress on your knee and it buckles. This is something that can be greatly improved by proper muscle strengthening specifically the hamstring muscle group.

Good luck
Reply:yes let hot water run on your knee, massage, your knee, elevate your knee on a pillow when your sleep, and put an icy hot patch on your knee.
Reply:You may have torn your meniscus. An orthopedic surgeon should be able to tell you by testing your range of motion. You may need an arthroscopy. That is where your surgeon inserts a telescopic camera into your knee joint and looks around. The incision is about 1/4%26quot;; and if he finds tissue in the joint, he can make another 1/4%26quot; cut and insert a %26quot;shaver%26quot; that cuts and sucks up the tissue. This procedure is done in an out-patient facility. Maybe it%26#039;s nothing; but, you should get it checked out. Good luck to you!
Reply:Hey, um, well, my sister did that once, and she is still in pain. Try not doing the activities so complex, it helps if you start out slow.Easy...

Sorry this has happened, my answer isn%26#039;t all that intellegent...but i hope it helps some...

Have you gone to the doctor?
Reply:Your knee went the wrong way a work, so you have stretttttttttttttttched all the ligaments! Now those ligaments will not support the knee joint so when you jump, POW! You will have to rest and stop jumping around wait for the ligaments to return to normal. Best of Luck
