What side should the buckle on a belt be? The right or the left?

When I'm wearing a belt and the belt is undone, I have both ends in my hands, what hand should the buckle end be in?


My instincts say the left hand

i would say the left side, i guess it really doesnt matter. but i think guys belts are on the left, and girls on the right.

Reply:A mans belt buckle is on the left side. So start threading the belt through the left side first.
Reply:Mine is always on the left and I'm a female. I think it depends on which hand you use every day in life and just how you put it on.
