Is this Harley belt buckle worth anything?

My boyfriend has a 1975 HD "#1" belt buckle with stars and stripes inside and "H" and "D" on each side of the number. The back is stamped with the traditional skull and crossbones, the words "LIMITED EDITION COPYRIGHT 1975", and "SERIAL NUMBER 600". Under that is "MM LIMITED CHICAGO".

I don't know if this is the right place to ask and I apologize if it isn't, but I figured the people in fashion probably wouldn't know. ;) We both like it (and Harleys!) so it doesn't matter if it's worth anything, we're just curious.

Thanks for your help!

Is this Harley belt buckle worth anything?
I doubt its worth anything, but if you wanna get rid of it I'll give you $5 and I'll pay for shipping.

lol
Reply:It's not official HD.

It's a limited edition of a buckle made by MM Limited, and they probably hold the copyright. Johnny mentions the skull and crossbones, and that's true. Also, I never remember HD putting anything on the sides of the number 1. It was always the full name underneath.

It may be worth a little at a swap meet.

I'd be interested. It's a close match (as was intended) to the #1 on my Superglide.
Reply:Great question it is worth plenty holding up your pants, if pants fall down they could get you for indecent exposer big fine.
Reply:Sounds more like a buckle co. thing in the 70s every body was making harley stuff the give away is the skulland crossbones Harley never used that as a logo so much stuff was made with it people just thought it was Harley stuff

Even a shopping cart full of parts but none made by Harley

But hey prob a cool buckle-Maybe at a swapmeet $$
Reply:Had a few back in the day. Serial number is actually a model number (or style number) They were NOT limited editions just named limited edition. (this was true of many buckles in the 70s, not really sure if MM was one of them or not)
