The main carpet on the floor is starting to buckle, how do I get the carpet back flat again?

I lived in this house fro three years ( it was new) and now the carpet on the floor is starting to buckle every where. What can I do to get the carpet to lay flat again?

Alvin, this happens to lots of carpet. What it takes is a process called carpet stretching. Essentially, it's something like re-installing it, where they start at the middle of each room and push the excess carpet toward the walls, then tack it in place and trim off the excess inches.

If you know how to install carpet and have the tools (and the knees!) for it, you could do it yourself.
Reply:All you need to purchase is a carpet kicker and Stanley knife and trim the excess
Reply:Sounds like the carpet needs to be restretched. A carpet installer can do this in a few minutes for you.

Call around and ask, you will find someone willing to do this at very little cost.
