Refrig. leaked water onto laminate floor & now buckling. Will mold form if not replaced?

New refrig. installed by Lowes. 7 days later noticed water on kitchen floor. Traced back to new refrig. Lamiante is starting to buckle in places and the floor that is not buckling is now "sticky" to the feet. Is the sticky feeling moisture underneath the laminate and will mold start to form if not replaced soon. Thx.

if the water is not leaking anymore,no mold will form, also take pictures of your floor Lowe's is responsible for the damage, they did not install the water line the right way,if they refuse take them to small claims court, they are liable for your floor and cleanup of any mold problems.
Reply:You say you just got a new refrig? It was installed by Lowes? You notice it leaking 7 days later? Call Lowes and tell them. Make them come out and fix the refrig and the floor, because it would not have happened if they installed the refrig correctly. They are responsible. Don't back down and tell them you will take it further if need be. Be nice to start, be brutal if need be.
Reply:any trapped moisture weather still flowing or not will cause mold!!!!! but i do agree that you should take pictures and call lowes. Lowes is responsible if you can prove it was the fault of bad installation.you should have a contract that states this.
