I just want a nice big(gish) belt buckle that doesn't look too boy-ish, any ideas where I could find some online?
Looking for an oversized belt buckle/belt, that isn't masculine like the usual 'skulls' or 'nautical stars'

Where can I find a belt without the buckle?
I have a Fox Racing belt buckle that I would like to wear, unfortunately it didn't come with the belt. Can I buy a plain belt somwhere and then just stick the fox head buckle on there? Thanks,
Where can I find a belt without the buckle?
You can find them almost in any departmart store or mart stores. Be sure to also check ones with a buckle as some can be removed. They will have snaps. Good Luck!
Reply:Just go to the mall, and sometimes there are kiosks that sell belts without buckles. Just stick on your fox buckle, and that should work.
*Kiosks are stands that are in the middle of the mall, like small shops.
Reply:you should go to thrift shops

English for hoc signo vinges on vintage belt buckle?
These words are on a belt buckle which is attached to a very
old leather belt with brass chain. I am trying to identify the
belt and buckle as to whether it is military, fraternal, etc.
English for hoc signo vinges on vintage belt buckle?
It is most likely to be a "Knights Templar Order of DeMolay" piece. The motto is IN HOC SIGNO VINCES - "By this sign (or symbol) you shall conquer" - supposedly from a vision given to Constantine just before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge.

Correct Wear of the Kilt again "Irish" Americans?
Why do "Irish" American Pipe Bands wear Scottish tartan, and not a "plain" one colour Irish Kilt , Saffron or St Patrick's Blue ? or Green? The inside and outside aprons are securely fastened by buckles, with the inner apron folding to the left, usually secured by one buckle, and the outer apron folding to the right, usually secured by two buckles (buckle the lower one loosely). Ladies' kilted skirts fold the opposite way. The kilt is not meant to be worn like blue jeans, down around the waist near the hips. The top of the waistband should be at your navel; military-cut kilts rise high enough to come to the wearer's bottom ribs. Highland dancers and Scottish country dancers often ask for a very high rise so that when they raise their hands above their heads, tartan is still seen beneath the jacket instead of a white shirt front.

I got a job at Buckle clothing...but im not even fashion oriented! I need help!?

Help me fashion people! The store buckle is also so expensive and im the kind of guy who prefers to spend my money on other stuff.
I got a job at Buckle clothing...but im not even fashion oriented! I need help!?
well first of all I love Buckle clothing. It is a nice place.Fashion is sth inside ur feeling, not just one style, and not the style that the most of the ppl r wearing right now! If u r hired by buckle and they hire u is because that u have very good experience, that is not bad. U don't have a lot of money to buy fashion clothing doesn't means that u r not a fashion guy.Fashion is not defined by how much money u spend on those "fashion things",u need not to make urself looks like a funky guy, just dressed as nicely as when u go to interviewed this job! u r a staff of the store not a model. the things u need to do well is just always freindly and smile to the customer u meet(I think u have more experience in this field than me),and when the customer want ur opinion, tell them honestly and if u don't think that is good, introduce what is the good tie in that u thought to them.that's all and it is easy!
Besides, u r hired by Buckle store, that means the supervisor, the manager of u have much confidence to u that u can do well in this job so why don't u! Be more confidence! don't care about what or how nice the other emploree dressed, u just dressed neat that is ok,why a good staff can be a good staff it is because how much clothes he sold but not how well he dressed!trust me, every thing is fine!and if u really think that u r not as fashion as other staff and u want to, then watch more fashion show and read more fashion mag it is so easy to be fashion not that hard than u thought.
anyway I believe u and good luck!

Reply:Congratulations Mikey! Ok so here is my advice, work with what you have for now and when you get some money like, soon hit a t.j max or some random store that sells name brand clothing for less. Buy like 3or4 pairs of jeans 5 shirts some long sleeved some short and one pair of cool shoes to go with all that. You should be all set if you build on it. You can pick up a few odds and ends at a thrift store too. That works sometimes.
Reply:Are you expected to wear buckle clothes? If you are and can't afford a whole outfit, invest in a sweatshirt or jacket form the store. Wear it with a t-shirt and jeans you already have- no one will notice the shirt and jeans aren't from the store, and you'll look stylish (it's a pretty easy look to do). Watch what the other employees and mannequins are wearing- until you figure out your own style, follow their lead. After a while, you'll figure out what you like to wear, what looks good on you, and what the trends are.
Reply:Go with what you think looks nice in Buckle. Shop at the clearance section, you can get some really nice stuff at a bargain price. Or when you are purchasing clothes go with a budget. I usually go with a $25 budget when shoping at expensive stores. A nice shirt for $6 you can't go wrong.

also, go to the second hand stores and buy more clothes that are similar to your interview clothes.
Reply:I LOVE the Buckle. I'm sure you get a discount. Save your $$ and get a few good pieces that you can mix and match. Since it is mostly jeans, one pair of darker blue and one pair of lighter blue would be all you would need. Then get a couple of their collared shirts and put your own t-shirts underneath. You can get at least 4 different outfits out of this combo. Push up your sleeves, on one day then not on another. Wear comfortable shoes that look something like what they sell. As long as you know the merchandise and treat the customer well your manager will be pleased. The Buckle takes a lot of pride in their customer service and the knowledge of their staff. You will learn how to be fashion savvy just by working there. Good luck!

How do I fix a buckled up (tee-pee effect) laminate floor board?
We had to pull our dishwasher out form under the counter...we're replacing it. Upon doing so, one of our floor boards (laminate) buckled up creating a tee-pee effect? Am I able to "flatten" it back out or do I need to replace the board by cutting and re-fitting a new piece? I'd prefer just "flattening" it if at all possible. Thanks for the help!
How do I fix a buckled up (tee-pee effect) laminate floor board?
hammer it is the WRONG thing to do.. that is a result of not enough expansion at the edges and or water damage. if it's water damage you can either rout it out and replace the plank or disamble the area closest until you get to the board and replace it.
dehumidifiers dont work for laminates with topical moisture damage! they only work for hardwood floor water damage and you plan on resanding them down after buckling occurs.
YOU MUST make sure you do not have a bigger problem like constant moisture. so check the plumbing and fittings.
Reply:it sounds like that you had a water leak at one time. you can replace it or install a dehumidifyer for a short time to remove the moisture content from the wood
Reply:I'd lay a piece of 2"x4" wood on the teepee, and bang the wood w/ a hammer. Laminate is snapped together, and it sounds like your DW just caused one plank to become unsnapped.
If that teepee is under the DW anyway, you can probably skip the 2x4 and just use a hammer.

Have you ever seen that cow, Buckle Up Betsy in the hallmark cards? i was just curious because the actual one is inside my high school because my art teacher made it. copies of it are sold all over the world in hallmark stores and in their cards.....

No, can't say as I have. Sounds like it deals with safety belts, and that beats having a character like, say, Ticket McClickit, for example (not a character as of yet, but you never know...).

Booster seat is impossible for a child to buckle!?
OK, we just went from a car seat w/ 5 point harness to a booster seat. We were so excited for her to be able to use a "big girl seat belt"! But now that I have it in the car it seems all wrong. First of all it does not seem to "attach" to the car in any way, so when I make a sharp turn, or she leans too far forward, the seat nearly falls over! Also, the buckle for the seat belt is right at seat level and it's very hard to buckle, even for me! It seems like the arms of the booster seat are in the way, but I don't want to remove them. I just bought it today, and won't drive with her in the seat until I can figure out a better way. Any suggestions?
Booster seat is impossible for a child to buckle!?
The booster was not designed for your car; box it back up and exchange it for another one. You'd be surprised how often this happens--my husband and I went through two booster seats before getting one that worked for our car!
Reply:I guess it depends which booster seat you got. I have 2 kinds right now. One is with the back on it, and the other one is only the part which she sits on. She is 4 years old, so I use the one with the back rest. This one was the 5 harness in one, and when she turned 4, I removed the harness and you can use the actual seat belt from your car with it. You just put it in the car (must be the seatbelt with the shoulder %26amp; lap, usually not the middle seatbelt) sit her in it and then put the seat belt over her like a regular person buckling up. It should have a section to strap the upper part of the shoulder strap into the car seat. She is still to young for the other booster seat. It won't protect her from an accident or sudden brakes. She's too young to know how to hold her body still. Hope this helps
Reply:honestly i cant tell you anything without knowing the car, type of seatbelt and the carseat you have.......but you should go to www.seatcheck.org and find an inspection site near you and go get it checked out if your concerned....they will tell you how to properly install the seat and if that seat is even right for your car and your child. they say 7 out of every 10 kids is not properly restrained in a vehicle. i have all my kids seats checked every time i buy a new one or get a different vehicle.....its free and worth the 20 mins or so for the inspection to keep my kids safe and obviously if your posting here its worth it to you too.
Reply:No suggestions, but I just wanted to say "good for you" for not driving with her in the seat till you get this figured out!

How can I learn to buckle down and get to work?
I need to write papers and engage myself in school, but I keep choosing videogames over and over again. How do I buckle down and learn to love work?
How can I learn to buckle down and get to work?
Mindfulness. Hi. I am a Buddhist girl. We practice mindfulness. That means, we practice being aware (awake) to everything we are doing. So, if we are playing a game, we do not just sit there and drift, we are aware that we are doing this act of play. Then, we can consciously shift our focus to something else. Study is not something you have to force yourself to do. You can not "make" yourself love it. You are trying too hard. Relax. Be mindful. Study is just another activity for your mind. Just like playing. That is all. It tests a different part of your brain. Be aware of that and it will seem much less difficult. And when you need to take a break from study or play, be mindful of what you are doing and how it is helping you keep your life in a happy balance. Even drinking a Coke, be mindful. Bye. :)

Reply:Hey, first off, let me say I also have that issue, and because of it I am almost 4 weeks behind in schoolwork (Homeschooled) but I have a system that will get me caught up. First off, you need to organize your classes. Set a specific class you have for each day. If you have more than 5, put two easy ones on one day. After you have that done, dedicate a part of your day, at least an hour, to work on the subject you have down for that day. If anything, do your schoolwork in another room, AWAY from the video games (although I do know they are addicting. Get me started in Zelda and I never stop!) This is what my mum gave me as advice. Question #2 Armor of God - buckle of Truth?
I'm going to ask a question about each individual armor of God, so if you are answering, please answer about this specific part of the armor of God.
As a Christian, how can we stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around our waist?
(Galatians 6:15)
Question #2 Armor of God - buckle of Truth?
We can do good by bringing down evil, and raise what we can of goodness.
The belt of truth shines with purity and love when we first get it. Over time, we dirty it by lying, believing in false love. The only way to clean it is to give it to the Washer of Belts, Jesus. We do that by asking forgiveness.
We stand firm with truth around us. The belt of truth is severed from us when a sword strikes. We choose when that sword strikes. It's like severing us from the Vine of God. We can choose to cut ourselves from it.
How we stand firm is through God. We are God's soldiers, and we stand firm when we stand for God.
Reply:The truth is that Jesus Christ is the son of God.
Do you mean Ephesians 6:14
Reply:having God's word, His truth right at our fingertips- memorize scripture and know Hist truth so that when called we can share it because it is always at hand
Reply:We can defend the truth of our God and the Bible by keeping ourselves under His guidance.

How do I un-jam the seat belt on a stroller?
The seat belt on this stroller that I bought at a consignment sale is jammed. It's one of those buckles that require you to squeeze the top and bottom as you are unbuckling it. Well the previous owner stuck the left-side buckle into the right-side opening upside down and it will not budge. The sides squeeze in, but the buckle will not come out. Any ideas?
How do I un-jam the seat belt on a stroller?
Have you tried wiggling and gently tugging? Is it plastic?

Cute sandals that buckle at ankle, am I too short to wear them?
There are all these new cute sandals styles that came out this season that go up to the ankle
http://store.alloy.com/browse.do?categor...
I have heard that they make your legs shorter so if you have short legs you shouldn't wear them. I tried a couple of styles and they were not flattering but I don't know if it was that style in particular. Is there an exception to that rule? Maybe with certain clothes? please help I know I shouldn't force an unflattering style but maybe you can help me.
thaks everyone for answering

There are no rules. If you like them, wear them.
Reply:oh. my. gah.
those are so CUTE!
I'm short too, and the trick is that you have to get them to have like a "v", it's elongating. You know like girls have a "vee-neck?" it's like the same thing at the top of the sandals, it makes a line going down! =)
Reply:Wide [ 1/2 inch or more ] ankle straps do not flatter very thin, heavy, or short legs.
Try some narrow strapped sandals, like the ones on the serpent sandal - the skinny straps will work on everyone!
Avoid the 'fat' straps, like the ones on the 'ub' sandal.

How do I check the connection of my passenger seatbelt buckle and the airbag indicator?
I own a 2004 grand prix gt and for the last 2 weeks my airbag indicator light is on! The garage told me that its to do with my seatbelt buckle malfunctioning and wanna charge me 400.00!
How do I check the connection of my passenger seatbelt buckle and the airbag indicator?
If there is an "idiot light" on, take it to an Advanced/Discount Auto Parts for a free scan. They will get a code from your car's computer, and that code will be able to make things a bit clearer. I would also reccomend checking Pontiac's website or calling your local dealership for any recall info on your car, sometimes things like this can be repaired for free. Good luck!

Last American WWI Veteran?
Today I heard that the last French WWI Veteran died, a very sad event indeed. Lazare Ponticelli is going to recieve a state funeral and France will declare a national day of remembrance. There are now just 13 "Great War" veterans left.
Now my question is when Frank Buckles, the last American WWI veteran dies, should we follow France and have a state funeral and a national day of remembrance? it is a terrible thing to think about and hopefuly it will not happen for a quite a while but when it does, I absolutley think we should. Mr. Buckles met with President Bush last week at a ceremony to commemorate WWI veterans. What do you think we should do?

Give this man the funeral of a presedent, he is a legend and should be treated as such,
Reply:remember the sad episode of history, the men and the tragidy that war has brought. I wear a WW1 dog tag every day and have for years to remember my Grandfather, and my Father in WW2..then we should fnd a way to end the one going now, and not have another for a long time.

How can I buckle down and stop procrastinating ?
I've always been a good student but since I have been in college I have been procrastinating like crazy ! I mean I always get stuff done and do it well but I'm doing it under pressure and feel frenzied. Right now I have 3 papers and 2 projects due between Nov. 28- Dec.5 plus exams and other homework I'm in the library now saying I'll do 40 minutes than mess around for 20 but, I just can't help but, to loose interest.
How do you all keep yourselves on track ?
How can I buckle down and stop procrastinating ?
As a college student who does all of her work from home, I can honestly say that I find myself in the same situation frequently. I have so many things that can prevent me from studying; TV, Video Games, heck...even just knowing that I have the internet and can surf around rather than study.
The way I keep myself studying instead of procrastinating is by turning off my wi-fi switch on my lap-top, listening to my IPod so I don't get tempted to turn on the TV, and reminding myself that my video games will be there tomorrow and I don't get graded on how well I play Final Fantasy (boy do I wish I did. lol) or any other game.
Sounds kinda simple, but it really isn't. You have to set your mind to your studies and it's can be very difficult at times. Sometimes it helps to take breaks though. I tend to break once every 2 hours or so (depending on how much work I have for the day) and go do something else for atleast a half hour, anything from doing my dishes to eating to watching an episode of Full House or something. Anything that's different from your studies so that not only does your brain get a little break, but your body does too. Don't over-indulge with the breaks though by getting involved in something that you can't finish within that half hour.
Also, if you smoke, take 5 minutes an hour to go outside, smoke, and enjoy nature. Even if you generally smoke inside, go outside because the vibrant colors and imagery will renew your mind and spirit.
Hope this works as well for you as it does for me.
Reply:Been there, done that and understand 100%.
This may sound crazy, but have you considered that you have ADD (or ADHD). I didn't find out that I had it until after college, but after finding out, it helped me 100% to understand what was happening.
There are a lot of books available on ADD, along with self tests, etc. Also on the web.
If you feel you have it, see a doctor. They will test you and if needed, give you meds. The meds work, but you STILL have to take control of it by setting schedules, etc.
Otherwise, you need to treat college like a job and use a schedule. Remember, when you work, work hard. When you play, play hard. But don't try doing both at the same time.

Try imagining how good you will feel when you have completed your task/project. Self talk will help you stay on track. Keep a diary or a pad with what has to be done and by when. Keep looking at your list and put a check-box at the side of each item . When you see an item checked off then you can reward yourself (buy a treat, take a short break or plan something with friends). You will soon see all the items on your list checked off and that in itself is a great feeling of satisfaction.
Maybe you could plan to study for an hour and have a 10 min break and keep to the plan by looking forward to the end of the hour and how much work you just got done.
You can do whatever you put your mind to. Keep telling yourself its worth the effort.
Good luck x

Reply:Why do today, what you can put off until tomorrow?
Reply:Make a 'to do' list. Beside each task; put about how long it should take you. Then plan your time efficiently, spread work out so that you don't work on the same piece of work for more than about 45 mins and give yourself regular 10 minute breaks. Try to plan work at regular times eg. go to the library and work solid for 40 mins every day at 4:00. Then at 4:40; take a break and move onto another task at 4:50...Really give your time a strict structure and make sure there are no distractions while you work.

Why do seatbelts buckle at the waist instead of being adjustable at the shoulder?
Because if it were adjustable at the shoulder and for whatever reason the locking mechanism didn't work, you would fly into the dash. I would much rather sliding onto the floor, then getting popped in the face with a 200MPH airbag. Just my thought.
Why do seatbelts buckle at the waist instead of being adjustable at the shoulder?
The vertical position of the shoulder belt's attachment to the car body can be adjusted on some vehicles.
Reply:because Americans are getting fatter waists, not shoulders
Reply:Most drivers side seatbelts are adjustable at the shoulder. I wish more seatbelts were adjustable at the shoulder because I am short and the shoulder strap is always going across my neck.
Reply:Because of heavyset people. Some are adjustable at the shoulder as well. I personally, do not beleave in sholder
straps as chest trauma from an accident killed my dad, sister, and sister n law all killed in auto accidents. Caused due to LOCKING MECHANISMS.....
Reply:Most seatbelts I've seen are adjustable at the shoulder as well as the waist.
Reply:I agree With JeffAV but also the increased miss use of the seat belt. That is the main reason. Also if it were at the shoulder, if you were to get in an accident your weight would move the adjustable part and throw you forward, possibly snapping your neck.

I got totally buckled last night?
i cant even remember how and what time i got home, has this happend to you? i parked my car straight but cant remember a thing! and how much did you consume to reach the point of forgetfullness.
I got totally buckled last night?
Good clean fun as long as you didn't run over any lions or whatever animals you get in SA...
Back to the question, Saturday night was a whole mess of drunken debauchery for me and my buddies! I fell down some big stairs and almost killed myself, but was drunk enough to feel no pain...I also asked a BBC childrens TV presenter girl (who saw me fall down the stairs and came to help) to marry me...
What fun

I remember I used to get buckled %26amp; the hangovers %26amp; forgetfulness would be nowhere to be seen - but I'm either getting older and thats affecting things, OR I actually drink far more than I actually realise but 9.5 times out of 10 I will wake up with a killer hangover or still drunk and I wont remember a bloody thing! Seriously! Its annoying, its embarrasing, its down right crap at times but I still do the exact same thing the following weekend! Yiy!!
Reply:So...this means you will never do it again?? Huh?? Or, will you continue until you kill someone or yourself??
Reply:I have to agree with the chastisers--you definitely should NEVER drink and drive.
The forgetting is something that happens when you drink WAY too much. It happened to me at university, but after about the age of 19, I stopped that kind of thing. Getting a bit drunk or whatever is no big deal (though I can't remember when it was that I did), but it shouldn't be something you do on a regular basis. How old are you? If you're young (late teens, early twenties), then this is just a rite of passage. If you're older than that, try to consider WHY it is that you're drinking so much.
Best of luck to you, and PLEASE don't drink and drive. You could kill someone.
Reply:no, you shouldn't be removed from society, just removed from your license to drive.
then, have fun and use public transit.

How do columns buckle within their elastic region?
Whenever a material fails it has to pass the elastic limit, then they enter plastic region and continue to deform plastically for a while(ductile materials) and then finally fail.
It beats me how columns can deform within their elastic region.
How do columns buckle within their elastic region?
Column do buckle when u apply load on them. What ever may be the load, there will be corresponding buckling in the column. (The amount of deformation is so small that we can not see with just look at the column). All materials are "elastic' to some extent. The limit varies. Practically there is no material that is 100 % brittle or inelastic.(with E=0) . If you imagine that material it CAN NOT CARRY ANY LOAD applied on it. Depending upon the properties of the material, the elatic limit varies and so also the load carrying capacity varies. When load increases certain limit , the buckling or deformations cross the limit of elasticity %26amp; then it cannot regain its orginal position if we remove load. That limit is elastic limit %26amp; beyond it is plastic region.
Thus deformation {(Buckling in cloumns as well as shortenin g due to compression ( elongation due to tension), deflection in beams } are the "effect" of application of load which could be considered as "Cause". As you know , when there is CAUSE there is EFFECT. Thus philosophically, it is because of the deformation, structure takes the load!.
Reply:Columns do not buckle in the elastic range.
Reply:Picture a branch from a tree. If you but pressure on it at one end with the other end on the floor it will bend. Picture using this stick and three more like it as the four legs of a table. If you put a little weight on the table nothing happen. Put some more weight and the legs bulge out like a bow, but does not collapse. Take the weight off and it goes back. This is elastic deformation. Bridges and buildings undergo similar deformation but to a less noticeable degree. Take the wings on a jet liner. They are designed to flex in the elastic range and in extreme conditions you can see it.
As stress increases you leave the elastic and go to plastic, which depending on the geometry may cause a structure to collapse or otherwise fail.

I have paint buckling and cracking on my basement walls due to leaks. What do I scrape it with?
I want to paint it with Dry-loc but don't really know how to make the walls smooth enough to paint so it looks nice and not all bumpy. Any suggetions?
I have paint buckling and cracking on my basement walls due to leaks. What do I scrape it with?
Go to a Home Center or hardware store and get a wire brush with a metal scraper on the end. These are quite common.
Reply:Angelas answer is right on. But Drylock paint will band-aid your problem unless you find a way to keep it from entering in the first place. It will keep water out of the basement but will make the water remain in your wall (assuming you have block walls like me) . Do the Dry-lock, but make sure you try and solve why the water is coming in first by checking the outside of your house (is the grade slopped properly away from the foundation? Are the gutters leaking? If it's an old house, is your palmer valve in the basement floor drain stuck shut like mine and not allowing your drain tiles to empty? etc.)
Reply:I was looking at some dry-loc stuff at a hardware store and the guy told me if I had any flaking or powdery looking stuff that I needed to clean my walls with muriatic acid or a cleaner that the dry-loc paint companies make. He said muriatic acid works just as well but is cheaper. But, it does stink so try to have some ventilation and wear a mask %26amp; gloves.

How do you buckle a D-Ring belt? (One with two rings)?
You know those belts that come with cargo pants? Its a cloth belt attached at one end with just two copper rings that just hang loose... I am CLUELESS as to how to get this belt to tie... It just falls loose every time. Help!
How do you buckle a D-Ring belt? (One with two rings)?
Put the cloth through both of the rings and then take the piece of cloth and feed it back through the first ring (being sure to go over the second ring.)
Reply:I don't have one handy, but I think this is the way:
Outer ring: the ring closest to the "buckle" end of the belt.
Inner ring: for lack of a better definition, the "other ring".
- Pull the end of the belt through both rings.
- Pull the belt as tight as you want it.
- Pass the end of the belt back over the top of the inner ring.
- Putting the end of the belt between the two rings, pass it through the middle of the outer ring.
- Pull tight.
Hope I'm right. If that doesn't work, use your regular belt. ;-)
Reply:Put the belt through both rings separate rings put belt back through between the rings.

How do I prevent having a bulge from my belt buckle underneath my shirts?
I need to wear a belt in order to keep my pants up, but I wear longer shirts; tunic style..that are on the tighter side. I always get a weird bulge in the front from my belt buckle though, that is unattractive. Any suggestions as to how I can prevent this? I'm looking for a smoother shape. I need to wear a belt with all my pants, and all of my shirts come down lower because I have a long torso.
How do I prevent having a bulge from my belt buckle underneath my shirts?
Wear a thin cord like belt without a buckle through ur pant loops. If not can get one of those elastic bands and tie it around the pants.
If you can't beat it, why not join it? Wear a wide belt over ur shirt and pants. It looks pretty and fashionable and will solve ur problem of a werid bulge in front. Now u can show off that beautiful belt of yours and look fashionable
Reply:I have this same problem, it is so annoying. I found that if I wear a belt made out of elastic that clips in the front instead of a buckle, it doesn't have a belt bulge. I have a few cute ones, but I don't remember where I got them. They are also usually cheaper than most other buckling type of belts. I have also used thin scarves and tie them tight through the loops of my jeans with some fabric hanging down the side, making it an accessory too.
Reply:Use a simple cord in place of the belt, so nothing will protrude. Or at least change out the buckle.
Reply:You can either tuck your shirt into your pants, which is good. or dont wear a belt at all, you can pin the sides, that way you wont get the bulk. Or just get your pants tailored. Good luck
Reply:get a pair of spanks. and dont wear such tight clothing.

Reply:Buy clothes that fit. Its easy to get stuck buying the same size clothes over and over, but our body's change. It sounds like you need a smaller size in pants and a bigger size shirt.

Will Nancy Pelosi buckle under the Clinton's pressure tactics?
On Wednesday a group of Mrs. Clinton's top donors sent a letter to the speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, warning her in language that they no doubt thought subtle but that reflected a kind of incompetent menace, that her statements on the presidential campaign may result in less money for Democratic candidates for the House.
Ms. Pelosi had said that in her view the superdelegates should support the presidential candidate who wins the most pledged delegates in state contests. The letter urged her to "clarify" her position, which is "clearly untenable" and "runs counter" to the superdelegates' right to make "an informed, individual decision" about "who would be the party's strongest nominee."
The signers, noting their past and huge financial support, suggested that Ms. Pelosi "reflect" on her comments and amend them to reflect "a more open view."

Will Nancy Pelosi buckle under the Clinton's pressure tactics?
Pelosi doesn't have the right to tell people how to vote. she is sticking her nose where it does not belong. she thinks she has great power over people now and was taken down a peg. she needs to clean her own house of corruption before setting herself up as a role model to anyone. she is too puffed up on her imagined power to dictate to people. she is a failure as a speaker of the house, she should be impeached for breaking all her promises to get elected.
Reply:I don't think Pelosi will be moved. Obviously Pelosi knew the Clintons would try to pull this. I'm sure she has her own allies.
Reply:Pelosi does need to clarify however.....it appeared in her statement that she supports Obama and that is not fair to Hillary
Reply:Ms. Pelosi wants for one to be the only woman in power in Washington, second she should not voice opionions that are so clearly biased but then she has promised to do so much and done so little I would be afraid to open my mouth if i was her George has pretty much made her and Reid his lap dogs anyhow
Reply:Maybe Pelosi should remain quiet and unbiased.
She should not be using her position to voice her preference.
Maybe this will remind her that she is not the only influential voice.
That's politics.
Reply:Clinton and her supporters cannot buy the nomination. This is a democracy and Nancy Pelosi won't be bullied into doing whatever the Clintons want her to do. This is the same dirty tactics the Clintons are known for. It's no wonder Hillary's approval ratings this week plummeted.
Reply:its just another clinton threat
every day is something new
tommorrow we will hear the sun will be blotted out from the sky if she doesnt become the nominee
Reply:I hope she doesn't. The Clintons are old news. They are going to be out of the game after this election, so she should choose the winner -- Obama. Clinton's backers are trying to save their failing investment in her. However, they should know all investments are risky to a certain extent.
Reply:She will under her own caculation for her future. Like Richardson did for 30 penny.
Reply:Why didn't the Clinton campaign get superdelegates to sign on to that letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi rather than donors? Doesn't this letter coming only from major donors make it look like a threat or a shakedown? Wouldn't this letter coming from fellow superdelegates have had more impact? One Dem operative who doesn't have a horse in this fight reminds us: "Members of Congress -- who are superdelegates -- make up the DCCC. Threatening the DCCC is essentially threatening the very superdelegates HRC's trying to court. The HRC donor letter will just push undeclared superdelegates in Congress leaning toward Obama to endorse him sooner. It also reinforces the notion that the Clintons will destroy the party to win the WH. I just don't get it."
Reply:The underlying message is that Pelosi and the Superdelegates need to keep the voting open for Hillary if they want their own re-election campaigns funded.
Reply:The understanding that I always had on the super delegates is that they have free access to the candidates and can support who they think would be the BEST candidate.
Why have the rules changed so much in this primary? Why is Obama adamantly opposed to Michigan and Florida revoting. This debacle in Michigan and Florida is the fault of the RNC moving their primaries....the DNC should have said...OK...Florida and Michigan, rather than pay for two different primaries....this makes sense, go ahead and vote. What was the big deal? The DNC should have been more flexible.
There is a pattern here that all of this is favoring Obama, changing the rules on the super delegates and not allowing Michigan and Florida to vote....does Obama HONESTLY think anyone in those states will support him? AND people in other state may perceive this to be just like Bush and not support Obama. I think by Obama showing just how deceptive he is and will be as President...he will lose a LOT of support. He still needs the support of the voters in the General Election....he acts like he has won. Not good PR for Obama!
I tend to agree with the "Clinton 10 supporters" fair is fair. Michigan and Florida SHOULD vote....and Pelosi needs to keep her comments to herself. The most important thing is that all people be heard.
I think Pelosi has her own issues to worry about...she has quite a few skeletons in her own closet! So she needs to take care of her own dirt and stay out of this!!

I lived in this house fro three years ( it was new) and now the carpet on the floor is starting to buckle every where. What can I do to get the carpet to lay flat again?
The main carpet on the floor is starting to buckle, how do I get the carpet back flat again?
Alvin, this happens to lots of carpet. What it takes is a process called carpet stretching. Essentially, it's something like re-installing it, where they start at the middle of each room and push the excess carpet toward the walls, then tack it in place and trim off the excess inches.
If you know how to install carpet and have the tools (and the knees!) for it, you could do it yourself.
Reply:All you need to purchase is a carpet kicker and Stanley knife and trim the excess
Reply:Sounds like the carpet needs to be restretched. A carpet installer can do this in a few minutes for you.
Call around and ask, you will find someone willing to do this at very little cost.

The belt buckle of astanding 20 year old man may be a foot higher than it was when he was 10?
but a nail driven into a 10 year old tree will be at the same height 10 years later. EXPLAIN?
The belt buckle of astanding 20 year old man may be a foot higher than it was when he was 10?
people (the man) grow at a specified rate , and between 10 years of age and 20 years of age this man grew over 1 foot (so that his belt is 1 foot higher). trees , in certain circumstances are completely full grown at 10 years of age so that the nail will remain at that height for the entire life of that tree
Reply:Humans grow in all parts of their bodies, including their legs. Trees grow from the top, not at the base.

Does The Buckle have quality clothing?
I don't know what those girls have been smoking. The Buckle have amazing sturdy, gorgeous jeans. I have two pairs that I have had for three years now! Their jeans range from 50-200 dollars! Tell me thats cheap. God.http://www.buckle.com/product/product.js...
Does The Buckle have quality clothing?
It's kind of cheap if you ask me.
Reply:All clothing in chain stores is basically the same...made in mass production most is made over seas and shipped to the US...regardless of where you shop you simply have to look at the garment and check for flaws...the only way to get real "quality" clothing is to have things tailor made...

You should contact the company you purchased it from. They should have a technical support line to help you through problems such as this.

Will my old carpet buckle when I cut it along the seam?
I am removing one large section of carpeting in my living room/dining room to make way for laminate. The best part is that there is a seam in the carpet right where I want to cut. So, my plan is to cut along the seam, pull up the old carpet, and be on my merry way. My wife is concerned that the remaining carpet may recoil or buckle along that seam. I doubt that it would because it is 10-15 years old, and is in the area of the house that has the most foot traffic. Thus, my guess is the old carpet will stay in place, and all I need is a reducer strip along the edge of the carpet and laminate?
Anyone experienced with this who can tell me whether this is something I should be concerned about?
Will my old carpet buckle when I cut it along the seam?
tack the carpet that is staying about every 2 feet with small nails close to were you are cutting.
. Cut carpet remove carpet put down reducer strip and be on your marry way
Reply:The logic is no matter where the cut you'll still need a transition gripper molding piece. What you choose is up to you. The varieties are many; and you might consider one that not only grip the carpet; but spans over; onto the laminate.
The molding is tacked to the substrate, then the carpet inserted into the cap/crown; to be help but gripper points. many contractors will tap down the cap onto the carpet. Essentially the grippers take the place of Tack Strip

Reply:Carpet is stretched a good bit when it is put down, I believe if you can't get an answer here from a professional then I'd call one and ask their opinion on it before cutting. And by the way, we all know if you cut it and it messes up you'll never, ever hear the end of it from that sweet little lady! lol
Reply:with it being that old it probably wont lose much of the stretch..........adding to what grandpa said you can take some number 8 nails and drive them in your carpet about a foot from where you cut and they will help hold the stretch..........after you get transition piece in,what I would do is put a piece of tackwood in front of it then rent or borrow a carpet knee kicker and kick it in but you may need some experienced help with that......its not that hard its just one of them things where you need to know what you are doing.......................

Studded belt and where to wear the buckle?
i have a studded belt (obviously) but i dont know where the best place is to have the buckle when i wear it
i know you'd say like the front wear its supposed to go but i want the studs at the front so i dont know where the best place is to put the buckle
can anyone help??
xx
p.s. i know some people will probably be thinking omg you stupid weirdo
how can you not know
lol
Studded belt and where to wear the buckle?
probably on the side cuz if you put it at the back it would be harder to take off.....and people will think your terribly weird!!
Reply:you could wear the buckle on the side of your hip....turn it 90 degrees from where it usually is, coz then the studs r on the front. i've seen loads of ppl wear it there.
hope that helps
=)
Reply:Wear it on the front as it is meant to go or you can be different and put the buckle at the back
Reply:right in front of the button on your pants. i like mines on the side though

P.S I don't wear studded belts lol.
Reply:definitely the side. it will look better
Reply:put the buckle at the front ... if you put it on the wrong way then people willl think you did it by accident (and therefore you would look sloppy)
Reply:i have a friend who has hers on the side
at the end of the day your an individual and dont need to listen to others on how to dress just wear it however yo like, people dont like it?? tough **** you dont tell them how to dress!
Reply:studded things are hot hot hot right now (at least in europe where I am from). Wear it with the buckle back. why not? at least no one expected it! i dont know what style you have, but if you have a girly style it would be even cooler with the studded belt together with like a loose top or dress. good luck!
Reply:Studded belts look better withe studs across the front so definitely wear the buckle to the far left side or right. All belts can be worn this way. Most people dont realize that there is more than one way to wear a belt. Siding is real Kewl... Jonny Depp is a sider as is Avril Lavigne..

Do you think not buckling your seatbelt should be a crime?
i dont know if this is country wide but in michiigan if ur seat belt is unbuckled you get a ticket..... i feel it is ok if you are under a certain age and ur parents SHOULD buckle you in but if dont wanna wear a belt then i should not have to.... btw i always do i dont wanna die lol
Do you think not buckling your seatbelt should be a crime?
it is in all 50 states , but i 100% agree with you , when it comes to adults , if i drive a motor cycle in pa i do not need to wear a helmet ( foolish ) but if i get in a car i better have my seat belt on . ( which i always wear ) being a police officer i have seen the great benefits of wearing them first hand . as i have seen people on motorcycles suffer critical life changing injuries for not wearing one , however if they can use the argument for motorcycles about choice then this should also apply to seat belts
Reply:Many people have mentioned that the seat belt law is a money grab by the government. I believe that it is actually a cost saving measure on the government's part. A saving in MEDICAL costs. Here in Canada, everyone gets "free" medical care (we pay hugely in taxes for this). I shouldn't have to pay almost 40% of my salary in taxes (I am not exaggerating) to pay for someone's injuries caused by not wearing their seat belt.
As long as people continue to use public roads, they must follow the rules set out by the government.
Governments are elected by the people, by the way. If there are enough people behind a "no seat belt law" amendment then changes to it could be made. Most people support these laws.
Also... just a note: "wanna" is not a word, it is "want to".
Reply:You can get a ticket for it where I am too....
Reply:They had to make it a requirement that has a penalty of a fine if it is not followed. It isn't a crime per-say.
I think it is common sense, and since so many people are lacking in common sense, the law has the authority and obligation to protect and serve its citizenry, so yeah, you deserve a fine for:
A. not showing common sense
B. not observing a law (that you knew existed)
Reply:Of course, it's not a crime. These laws were passed to protect people's lives and that includes your own. Don't despair if you got a ticket. Do despair if you if bump your car without your seatbelt on.
Reply:No, it should not be forced upon people of age that don't want to wear one. The government and law enforcement our limiting our liberties and rights and no-one seems to see this!
Reply:People should get tickets, just never jail time. I mean if they want to gamble with their lives so be it.
Reply:its a safety requirement and its a great way to save lifes from accidents. i think it is already a crime.
Reply:In Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina it is a ticketable offense. I always wear my seatbelt anyway and would encourage others to do the same. I've seen way more lives saved wearing them than I've seen lost, and tragically in my line of work, I've seen lots of dead people. My father feels the same way you do however and he has a numerous amount of tickets to prove. He'll put on his seatbelt in his race car, but refuses to wear it to drive on the street. I find that so very odd.
Reply:In Ma. you have to wear a seat belt or it is a $25.00 fine. Personally I feel that if you are over 18, the choice should be you re's, how ever seat belts do save lives and can prevent injuries.
Reply:This is how stupid this is. In Kentucky you don't have to wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle, but you have to wear your seatbelt. Yet for some reason when was the last time you saw a school bus with seat belts? a public bus? I mean its a way for the government to make more money. PERIOD. Why is it illegal to drink and drive, yet we have drive through liquor stores?

How do you say "Buckle your seatbelt" in Spanish?
Hopefully someone that speaks Spanish can translate this not just using a net translator. For work I need to tell Spanish speakers to buckle the seatbelt, it's for an amusement ride. Thanks!
How do you say "Buckle your seatbelt" in Spanish?
If you're talking to one person, formally:
ABROCHESE EL CINTURON, POR FAVOR.
If you're talking to one person, informally:
ABROCHATE EL CINTURON, POR FAVOR.
If you're talking to more than one person both, formally and informally:
ABROCHENSE LOS CINTURONES, POR FAVOR.
I just added POR FAVOR, which is the Spanish for PLEASE.
I hope this helps.

tack the carpet that is staying about every 2 feet with small nails close to were you are cutting.
Essentially the grippers take the place of Tack Strip

i dont know if this is country wide but in michiigan if ur seat belt is unbuckled you get a ticket..... i feel it is ok if you are under a certain age and ur parents SHOULD buckle you in but if dont wanna wear a belt then i should not have to.... btw i always do i dont wanna die lol

Reply:on the SIDE woooooooo hooooooooooooooo
Reply:on the side
Reply:To the side, defo ♥

Reply:abroche su seatbelt por favor
Reply:since you're working at an amusement park you'll probably need to say "abrochese su cinturon por favor" for one person or "abrochense sus cinturones por favor" for more than one person.
these are both the formal ways
Reply:POR FAVOR, USES LA CORREA DEL S I J A, GRACIAS!
Reply:'abrochate el cinturon', if its more than one person its 'abrochense el cinturon'... however in the singular version, if you are talking in a formal tone, for example if its someone older or someone you dont know, you say 'abrochese en cinturon'... thats singular, plural stays the same
Reply:Abróchate el cinturón, por favor. (informal)
Abróchese el cinturón, por favor. (formal)
Abróchense el cinturón, por favor. (plural)
Reply:" Ajustese el cinturon de seguridad"
Reply:Por favor puestas la correa
(I am not 100% sure this is correct)

Refrig. leaked water onto laminate floor & now buckling. Will mold form if not replaced?
New refrig. installed by Lowes. 7 days later noticed water on kitchen floor. Traced back to new refrig. Lamiante is starting to buckle in places and the floor that is not buckling is now "sticky" to the feet. Is the sticky feeling moisture underneath the laminate and will mold start to form if not replaced soon. Thx.
Refrig. leaked water onto laminate floor %26amp; now buckling. Will mold form if not replaced?
if the water is not leaking anymore,no mold will form, also take pictures of your floor Lowe's is responsible for the damage, they did not install the water line the right way,if they refuse take them to small claims court, they are liable for your floor and cleanup of any mold problems.
Reply:You say you just got a new refrig? It was installed by Lowes? You notice it leaking 7 days later? Call Lowes and tell them. Make them come out and fix the refrig and the floor, because it would not have happened if they installed the refrig correctly. They are responsible. Don't back down and tell them you will take it further if need be. Be nice to start, be brutal if need be.
Reply:any trapped moisture weather still flowing or not will cause mold!!!!! but i do agree that you should take pictures and call lowes. Lowes is responsible if you can prove it was the fault of bad installation.you should have a contract that states this.

What side should the buckle on a belt be? The right or the left?
When I'm wearing a belt and the belt is undone, I have both ends in my hands, what hand should the buckle end be in?
My instincts say the left hand
I am a man
What side should the buckle on a belt be? The right or the left?
i would say the left side, i guess it really doesnt matter. but i think guys belts are on the left, and girls on the right.
Reply:guys left, girls right
Reply:does it really matter?
Reply:A mans belt buckle is on the left side. So start threading the belt through the left side first.
Reply:Mine is always on the left and I'm a female. I think it depends on which hand you use every day in life and just how you put it on.

Which belt buckle do you think is better?

Which belt buckle do you think is better?
I'd say support hatchetgear over hot topic any day, but I love the simplicity of just the plain old hatchetman one. Haha I actually think I might go out to hot topic and get that one! MCL! %26lt;3
Reply:The second, the first one's just too much, but the second still gets the whole "I'm an Insane Clown Posse fan" across fine.
